Agriculture UAV Drone & Agri Spray Drones

One pilot, one drone, every job on the farm — spray, spread, scout, map.

Skyline AgDrone is an FAA Part 137 certified agriculture UAV drone operator. We fly the DJI Agras T25 agri spray drone for row crops, orchards, vineyards, and specialty acres — fully insured, with same-week scheduling.

// What An Agriculture UAV Drone Does

Four Jobs, One Aircraft

Modern agri spray drones do more than spray. The DJI Agras T25 swaps payloads between a spray tank, a spread hopper, and a multispectral camera — one platform covers the four highest-ROI jobs on the farm.

  1. // 01

    Spraying

Fungicide and liquid fertilizer applied at label rate from a variable-rate prescription. No wheel tracks, no soil compaction.

  2. // 02

    Spreading

Dry granular fertilizer, cover-crop seed, and bait pellets dropped from a calibrated hopper — ideal for late-season top-dress and inter-seeding.

  3. // 03

    Scouting

Multispectral and thermal flyovers locate disease, pest pressure, and irrigation issues before they hit yield. NDVI and NDRE maps feed your prescription.

  4. // 04

    Mapping

Centimeter-accurate 3D field maps, drainage models, and stand counts. Outputs drop straight into John Deere Operations Center, Climate FieldView, and Trimble.

// How It Works

From Call to Coverage in 48 Hours

We keep the process simple so you can focus on your crop. Every agriculture UAV drone job follows the same five-step playbook — scout, plan, apply, report, guarantee.

  1. // 01

    Field Scout

We fly a multispectral pre-flight pass to map crop health, weed pressure, and terrain hazards before a single drop is applied.

  2. // 02

    Flight Plan

Your prescription map (or our NDVI-derived variable-rate plan) is loaded into the DJI Agras T25. We set swath width, altitude, and application rate to the label.

  3. // 03

    Apply

The agri spray drone takes off from the field edge — no airstrip, no wheel tracks. RTK GPS and terrain radar keep every pass within centimeters, even over terraces and drainage.

  4. // 04

    Report

Within 24 hours you get a digital application report with acres covered, gallons applied, geo-tagged coverage map, and weather data.

  5. // 05

    Guarantee

If our post-flight scout shows a missed strip or sub-rate zone, we re-fly that patch at no charge. Documented misses don't cost you a dime.

No Soil Compaction

Wheels never touch the field. The agri spray drone flies above crop canopy, eliminating ruts and yield loss on wet ground.

Wet-Weather Ready

Fields too soft for a ground rig? We fly when tractors can't. Turn a rain delay into an on-time application.

Variable-Rate Precision

Apply only where the crop needs it. NDVI-driven prescription maps cut chemical waste and boost ROI per acre.

Agriculture UAV Drone Questions

What is an agriculture UAV drone?

+

An agriculture UAV drone is an unmanned aerial vehicle purpose-built for farm work — spraying, spreading, scouting, and mapping. Skyline AgDrone operates the DJI Agras T25, a 20kg-payload agri spray drone with RTK GPS, terrain-following radar, and pressurized nozzles that hold swath width and application rate within centimeters across a full field.

What can agri spray drones actually do on a farm?

+

Skyline AgDrone applies fungicide and liquid fertilizer (no herbicides or pesticides); spreads dry granular fertilizer and cover crop seed; scouts fields with multispectral and thermal imagery; and builds 3D field maps and NDVI prescriptions. One pilot and one drone replace a tractor pass on wet ground or a crop duster on irregular acreage.

How much does it cost to hire an agriculture drone service?

+

Pricing depends on acreage, crop type, and service line. Text or call us at 604 BC DRONE for a same-day quote. Buying an agri spray drone outright runs well into the tens of thousands plus chemicals, batteries, training, and certification — most growers find hiring an operator pays off until they cross several hundred acres of annual spray work.

Do I need a license to fly an agriculture UAV drone?

+

Yes. Commercial agriculture drone operators in the US need an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate, and any drone applying chemicals also needs FAA Part 137 agricultural aircraft certification plus a state applicator license. Skyline AgDrone carries all three plus application liability insurance — you don't need any certification to hire us.

Is an agri spray drone better than a ground sprayer or crop duster?

+

For the right job, yes. Agriculture UAV drones eliminate wheel tracks and soil compaction, fly when fields are too wet for tractors, apply variable rates from a prescription map, and skip the airstrip a crop duster needs. Ground rigs still win on huge contiguous dry acreage; drones win on irregular fields, wet ground, tall canopies, specialty crops, and targeted treatment zones.

How big a field can one agriculture drone cover in a day?

+

A DJI Agras T25 with a swap-battery setup and on-site water tender covers 100–160 acres per day of spray work, or 200+ acres of mapping. We dispatch multi-drone teams for larger contracts so a 500-acre prescription can finish in a single weather window.
